When Kevin and Sara head down to the basement to clear out some old boxes, Sara discovers Kevin’s old bass guitar in the corner. He picks it up and tells her about how he was in a band when he was younger, but gave it up when work consumed more and more of his life. Sara tells him about an upcoming Battle of the Bands and Kevin decides to reform the old band. The guys get right back into the groove, but encounter a hiccup when the mayor cancels the event due to it being too loud. Kevin must then convince the city counsel to overturn the decision by showing them the power of rock. (Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider guest stars as the mayor.)
