In an attempt to help Penny cope with being a potato monster, Amy swallows her pride and hosts a slumber party. Meanwhile, Sheldon, Howard and Raj attempt to build a WiFi-enabled smart couch for Leonard’s upcoming birthday, but accidentally short out the power grid in the process. Sheldon says, “Bazinga.” Bernadette, Amy, and Penny are in the middle of applying cucumber facials when their power goes out. Amy and Bernadette take advantage of the fact that their friend is a potato and hook her up to a lamp to finish their facials, which makes Penny feel useful again. Bernadette is electrocuted by the makeshift power cables and has a flash back to being murdered by Howard. Leonard dejectedly covers Penny’s half of their shared bed with soil.
